Dear Friends,

The moment the Buddha began to teach was a great generosity. This generosity created a huge wave, and thousands of years later it is still rippling.  Generosity allows us to feel like we’re a part of something larger than ourselves, and that’s beautiful and liberating

I could never pay back what I’ve been given, so I work to pay it forward. We’re all asked to pay it forward. Dana means generosity, and hopefully you’re already feeling it.

You giving is actually a response to other people’s generosity.

Because they gave, we’re all able to be here receiving the teachings.

Whatever you give is your response, and helps us keep this going.

Each teacher freely offers the teachings you’ll find here. The reason we’re able to do that is because we’ve been supported by our students.

Personally, it’s been difficult to receive generosity. I’m a bit shy, so I don’t really like to talk about it, or how much we depend on it. But we do need it. Just like you, we have to pay bills, we have families, and pay taxes.

We ask people that have more to give more. This makes it so that everyone can receive the teachings, whether or not their financial situation allows them to give.

Nobody can tell you what to give, that’s completely up to you, but whatever you offer, my sincere hope is that each one of us gets to experience that feeling of generosity.

Thank you,

Vinny Ferraro
